The Mummy 3: Return Of the Dragon Emperor

Visual effects are good. Just look at how the Mummy Emperor turns into a 3-headed dragon, some enlarged lion-beast creature, spitting fire and controlling all kinds of elements etc. It's all weird to me, unfortunately. There is no details that goes about the emperor being able to transform.

And to us who've know a bit on the Chinese history, it's really hard to put fiction together with the history which we were taught or known.

Hollywood likes to produce movies with association to Asians nowadays, and almost every film have a relation to the mythical creature - dragon. And characters suddenly can speak English everytime. It turns boring.

The change of the female lead character to someone unfamiliar is also another turn-off point.

Well, in my opinion, I didn't like the show one bit.

Medic Certificate

I couldn't believe I've attended 3 medic courses the past 4 days, and got 4 certificates for the 4 courses.

Heartsaver Course - It comprises of mainly the informations and steps to carry out the CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation - If you didn't know what CPR is)

FAP Course - First Aid Party. The basics we need to know to dress different kinds of wounds, cuts, burns, fractures and know the name, type and severity of each kind of injury.

AED Course - AED means Automatic External Defibrillator. This is a kind of portable device we are taught to use "Shock" to reset a patient's pulse rhythm back to normal if the patient has a VF(ventricular fribrillation) which refers to, abnormal pulse frequency. This is mostly done along with CPR. It's rather demoralising to know that survival rate drops by 10% every minute this process is delayed when there's VF or the heart stops beating.

AFAP Course - Advanced First Aid Party. To pass this test, we need to do injection LIVE! That means we are paired up to poke the hell out of each other and inject a tube into the victim's veins for IV Drips. This is the most exciting course of all. haha.

But wtf am I doing there.. I am a Technician.

And they openly show you how they gonna scam you by doing stunts and all that on TV. I pity those who participated and all their tears.

Why do they start and want to help any organisations in donations when they don't have people monitoring these organisations' behaviour?

Head of Ren Ci Hospital, the Venerable Shi Ming Yi has been charged with alleged forgery, conspiracy and misuse of funds.

Venerable Ming Yi, who was also former Ren Ci Chairman, was slapped with 10 charges Tuesday morning.

The monk faces four charges under the Penal Code involving two counts of alleged criminal breach of trust.

He also faces one count of alleged forgery for the purpose of cheating and one count of abetment for allegedly falsifying accounts.

He also faces six charges under the Charities Act for allegedly providing false information.

Two of his associates Raymong Yeung and Phua Seow Hua were also alleged to have gone into conspiracy with the Venerable and were also charged in court Tuesday.

Separately, a volunteer from Ren Ci was charged with allegedly possessing some 70 copies of obscene film.

Venerable Ming Yi, also known as Goh Kah Heng, is out on S$200, 000 bail.

The case will be heard in court on August 4.

Venerable Ming Yi has been on leave for five months before his arrest on Monday night.

He had been under probe by the Commercial Affairs Department.

The Commercial Affairs Department was called in after auditors engaged by the Health Ministry highlighted possible irregularities in some of the charity’s financial transactions.

The Ministry of Health had said that several transactions, which involved several million dollars, could not be satisfactorily explained.

Ren Ci and 11 other large Institutions of a Public Character were subject to the Health Ministry’s general review in July 2006.

Ren Ci is believed to be the third largest health charity in Singapore after the National Kidney Foundation and SingHealth Endowment Fund.

The Commissioner of Charities has suspended Venerable Ming Yi from his office as Chief Executive Officer of Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre with immediate effect.

He will also be suspended from his executive positions in five other charities: Foo Hai Ch’an Monastery, Foo Hai Ch’an Buddhist Cultural and Welfare Association, Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic and The Singapore Regional Centre of the World Fellowship of Buddhists, and the
Katho Temple.

He remains the religious leader of the Foo Hai Ch’an Monastery.

Grandma's birthday.
Didn't get to attend due to sailing.

22nd June

A belated and the FIRST birthday activity I've attended so far this year, and it's for Xuan. Could say that, "I'm glad we've made it - successfully."

Despite the fact that it was the school childrens' holiday season and previous choices of playing laser tags, Wii and finally, paintball - It was all dang fully booked. Laser quest was finally decided as a no-go because the emails that were replied to me had sentences like "Your kid's", "children", "balloons", "decorate the place suitable for kids" and to the fact that I've already stated in the mail, it's for my friend's 23rd birthday.

Red Dynasty service is totally ~~screwed~~ fuck-up for such a popular and owns the biggest paintball arena in Singapore, they only accept email bookings - And yet, they don't reply emails. Chorlun's friend was kind enough to help, as his friend works in RD.

"He say mention his name can get a VIP response." Says Chorlun. Yet, proved that RD was more screwed-up than recognising its employee. I've sent 3 emails.

On the other hand, Orchid Country Club was far more responsive, not only they suggest a slot available for us when others are fully booked, they reserve for us too. And they actually called up and confirm with me the information that I've sent.

The ride which made the day possible.
And the fortunates who don't have to take MRT there.

And all that havoc happens in Pariss Marina. And my goodness, they are so loud.

Everything wasn't that bad, but for someone who don't like crabs, prawns and lobsters, Villagê or Sakura is a better choice for me. Pariss is ok I supposed, but to me, they have quite a lot of dishes, especially the fried stuffs that I consider - too cheap for their entrance fee.
